How about just ... How about just replacing them with real wooden sticks... These "sticks" are such pieces of s**t. If you play anything remotely heavy, the covers wear through within a week. I actually broke the aluminum part and ended up having to throw the pair away. Even after gluing the tips on, they would gradually unscrew and then fly off in the middle of playing. That caused me to puncture my 1st and 2nd toms because I was in? the middle of doing a fill... Then good luck finding the tip...

I guess i was lucky ... I guess i was lucky, have you tried using something with? a grip like a pliers? Dont squeeze to hard tho. Remember twist and pull, twist and pull lol ;)
How did you get the ... How did you get the old covers off with such ease? I am having one hell of a time trying to? get them off...
the tip is hard to ... the tip is hard to unscrew since it's glue in? to keep it from being lose.
how many times can ... how many times can I? change the covers??????
i also advise using ... i also advise using the grippy things you use to help open? jars to tighten the tips that little bit more :D
Your sticks are ... Your sticks are 5A's and I have them too. Formerly, I used pro-mark American? Hickory 5A's and switched to AHEAD in April of 2011.
ive had my Ahead ... ive had my Ahead stick for 8 years,with the same sleeves, finally broke both sleeves in the same day, on the day? i bought them 8 years later, i think i have gotten my £28 worth out of them!
@Jellybeanamania ... @Jellybeanamania just go to almost any? guitar center and they cost 3.50$ it order them and shipping is only 5$ but they do come in pairs, and the more you buy at once dosnt affect the shipping cost

just a piece of ... just a piece of advice: repeted rim shots and contact with the rim in general will break the core of these sticks. i just broke the core on my one ahead stick? because of repeted contact with the lower part of my snare rim. the height and angle of my snare is just ever so slightly so that my stick rests in contact with both the rim and snare head . i did that so it would be easier for rim shots and unknown to me it failed, and 11 months later the core broke. so now i got to go buy another pair.
